On 21st July 2008 the club's Ladies Four, Eve King, Barbara Street, Chris Simmons and Ann Leaver 
won the

2008 BERKSHIRE LADIES COUNTY FOURS CHAMPIONSHIP

They won the championship by defeating Windsor Great Park at Reading by 20-17 after a dramatic 
comeback from 10-1 down. The first time that they went ahead was in the twentieth end.

Both finalists travelled to the National Finals in Leamington to represent Berkshire.

On 27th July the WEBC team defeated a Kent Four by 18-17 taking victory on the last end.

On the morning of 28th July they went on to defeat a Warwickshire Four by 19-18.

Unfortunately the draw saw them face the other Berkshire Four (WGP) in the last
sixteen that afternoon.  On this occasion the WGP Four ran out winners.
